Camtasia Relay is available for your poster presentation!

Camtasia Relay is now available for your use. Here are some quick and easy-to-follow instructions on how to begin using Camtasia Relay for recording and uploading videos of your presentations.

Get the Recorder from the Camtasia Relay Website

The website you need to visit to get the recorder is http://trial01.camtasiarelay.com/

Username and Password

We have 5 accounts available on our server. The Relay usernames are ND1 through ND5. We'll send you the password by email.

Download the Camtasia Relay Recorder

Click on the Download Relay Recorders button in the upper right of the screen

Please click the download link for either the Mac or Windows operating system you use.

Running the Installer

Run the installer to get the installer setup screen

Click on the options button on the set up screen. If you check the box to "Install the Camtasia Relay Add-In for Microsoft PowerPoint," PowerPoint will prompt you if you want to make a recording each time you run a slide show. If you don't install the add-in, then to record a PowerPoint slide show, you will first start the recorder, then start the slide show, end the slide show, and finally stop the recorder. Either approach is fine, but you'll want to trim the beginning and end of the presentation if you don't use the add-in, as explained further below.

Run Camtasia Relay on Your Computer

After installing the Recorder, run the Camtasia Relay application on your computer and log in as a presenter

Use Camtasia Relay to Record your Content!

After you log in, set the profile in the drop down box to "ND Engineering Program." Enter a title for your presentation that includes your name and enter a description of your presentation. Try a test recording by clicking the blue "TEST" button. When you're ready to record, click the red "RECORD" button. Once the recording starts, the controls panel may minimize-when you're ready to stop recording, bring it back and click the square button to stop (or the double bar to pause).

You can trim the beginning and end of your presentation you want to remove parts where you were either setting up or closing an application. Click the "Trimming" button and additional buttons will appear to set the start and end points of your presentation. Move the cursor to where you want to trim; click either the "start" or "end" trim point button and the Camtasia Relay server will do the rest!

When you're done recording and optionally trimming your presentation, click the "Submit" button. Camtasia Relay will automatically encode and produce your content and upload it to the server. We will manually send you an email with a link to your presentation after production is complete.
